Free Prostate Screenings September 22 at MWHC
“Prostate is the most common cancer in men, but is highly treatable,” the cancer center said in a press release. “Early detection is key.”
Men between the ages of 55 and 69 who are not under the care of a urologist and and have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer need to be screened. Those men at higher risk — history of cancer or of African American descent — should be screened as early as age 40.
The screenings will be held at Mary Washington Healthcare Regional Cancer Center, 1300 Hosptial Dr., Suite 101, Fredericksburg. All screenings are performed by a board certified urologist.
