Snow and Ice to Blanket Region Monday

Another blast of ice and snow is headed for Fredericksburg.

Rain will move into the region Sunday after 4 p.m. and change to snow, freezing rain and sleet early Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Snow is expected to be heavy at times Monday, with six to 10 inches expected in the Fredericksburg area.

Monday’s high may reach 25. The overnight low will be in the single digits, with wind chill values as low as -2.

Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 32.
