Neurofeedback Brain Training for Mental Health
The free meeting open to all is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kenmore Club of RACSB, 632 Kenmore Ave., in Fredericksburg.
Neurofeedback is a treatment used for psychiatric conditions, including ADD/ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, phobias, OCD, BPD, depression and affective disorders, autism, and addictive disorders, NAMI said.
Donna Creasy is licensed in Virginia as a Professional Counselor and a Marriage & Family Therapist. She has been Board Certified in Neurofeedback by Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) for almost nine years.
Lynn Gibbons is an Air Force veteran who completed a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Marymount University in 2012. She is working as a Resident in Counseling at the Prince William County Community Services Board, as she pursues a Professional Counselor license. She became Board Certified in Neurofeedback in 2014.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a nonprofit, grassroots, self-help group which offers support and advocacy to persons with mental illness, families, and friends of people with various mental illnesses.
