Stabbing suspect arrested in South Stafford

From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:

On August 18th at 10:32 p.m. deputies responded to a stabbing in South Stafford. The adult male victim was transported to the hospital with what was thought to be life-threatening injuries.
Deputies determined the stabbing occurred near the intersection of Naomi Road and Cobb Street. A suspect was quickly identified and detained on nearby Shaw Court. The suspect and victim were known to each other.
The suspect was identified as Thomas Soden, 38, of Stafford. He was arrested for malicious wounding and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
The victim was treated at the hospital for stab wounds to his chest and leg. Fortunately, he is expected to make a full recovery.  This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective J.T. Lynch at 540-658-4450.
