“This will allow families to get out and visit the park during the Easter weekend, as well as during Spring Break,” said Tiffany Capehart, supervisor of marketing for Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities.
Motts Run is located at 6600 River Rd. in Fredericksburg. The 860-acre natural area, including the 160-acre reservoir, provides canoe and kayak rental, fishing, hiking trails, jon boat rental, an orienteering course, picnic tables, and grills.
Hours are 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday through Monday, until October 31.
In addition, Motts Run Nature Center is open 12 – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
